Over the past decade, the city has experienced rapid growth with new areas being developed and others undergoing restoration. The tour begins with a stroll through the Historic Center of San Salvador, where you’ll visit notable landmarks such as the National Palace, the Monsenor Romero memorial site, El Rosario church, and the relief map. Explore the government district and experience the modern ambiance of Santa Elena and Zona Rosa.
We’ll pause for a delightful lunch before continuing our journey to Boqueron National Park, situated atop the San Salvador volcano. From there, you’ll witness the crater left by its last eruption and be captivated by the surrounding flora and breathtaking views. If you’re seeking some adventure, we can make a stop at the Rainbow Slide (ticket not included) on our way back. Finally, we’ll return you to your hotel, leaving your evening free for leisure. Rest assured, our guide will gladly suggest other exciting options in the area for you to explore.

COFFEE TOUR:
Embark on a journey to discover the charm of El Salvador’s mountain villages. Our first stop is Izalco, nestled at the base of the magnificent Izalco volcano. Next, we’ll explore Nahuizalco, known for its vibrant Indian market. Finally, we’ll visit Salcoatitan, an artistic town exuding a relaxed atmosphere. Along the way, we’ll also take you to a coffee processing center, where you can learn about the intricacies of coffee production. As the day draws to a close, we’ll return to San Salvador, capturing the beauty of the sunset.
ARCHAEOLOGICAL TOUR:
Just 30 minutes away from San Salvador lies the remarkable Archaeological Site of Joya de Ceren. This Mayan village was preserved beneath volcanic ash, providing us with a unique glimpse into ancient Mayan life. We’ll then proceed to the San Andres archaeological site, considered the acropolis of the region. Finally, we’ll visit Tazumal, home to the tallest pyramid in El Salvador. During the tour, you’ll have free time to enjoy lunch (not included) while taking in panoramic views of Coatepeque lake.
